Efficient electric motor operations

A built-in load monitor protects the process from damage and downtime, if a pump is running dry, a pipe is blocked, a mixer blade is broken or a scraper is jammed. Dewatering with energy-efficient centrifuges

CG also offers energy-efficient operation of decanter centrifuges used for dewatering sludge. The process uses two electric motors, one that powers the drum and one that brakes the screw conveyor. Energy generated from braking is normally converted into heat and dissipated via brake resistors. With an CG solution the energy is re-used instead, by feeding the braking motor’s energy directly to the driving motor. The requirement for energy from the mains is reduced and the cost of brake resistors is saved.
