Pim Willemse
Managing director, Emotron BV/System engineering manager
Age 44
With Emotron since 1993
My journey at Emotron started in 1993, after finishing my degree in electrical engineering and business administration. I have had a number of positions in the Dutch organization and at group level, working hands-on with our technology, as well as in managerial positions.
My first job was as development engineer in the Dutch R&D department. I then moved on to work with sales and support for a few years before returning to the R&D department as manager in 2001. After another four years, I was appointed manager of the R&D function in the Emotron group.
During my time in R&D, I worked with one of our largest development projects: the New Generation Drives. I was the architect behind the idea, and after convincing the management, I got to realize it together with my colleagues. The NGD concept is still the basis for our product development.
In 2009, I was assigned manager of System Engineering, a group function designing complete drive systems and customized solutions based on our standard products. Since 2010, I am also the managing director of Emotron BV.
Emotron is a company where you can really achieve your personal and professional goals, if you have the drive and a positive attitude. Our organization is based on team work and bottom-up processes.
As a manager, I try to create an atmosphere where people believe in themselves and feel motivated to fulfil our mission. My job is to convince them that they can design their own future at Emotron, while contributing to the success of our company!
