Independent and varied work in production

A trial period in Emotron’s production made Alexandra train to be an industrial electrician. As an assembler, she appreciates the variety, the good team work and being part of offering customers quick delivery.

Some years ago I got the chance to try working in Emotron’s production. I liked it so much I decided to train to be an industrial electrician. During my two years of education, I did my practical training at Emotron and was then offered employment.

An ordinary working day starts with me fetching incoming working orders from our computer system. I prepare the station where I am going to work by taking out material and components, and then start assembling or testing.

The job is independent and varied. We work in teams per product area and I am in the one producing variable speed drives. We switch between a number of working stations, so it never gets boring and it is positive also from an ergonomic point of view. The working environment is good, with height adjustable tables and different lifting aids.

Production is completely order based meaning we have flexibility to change the planning if a customer order needs immediate attention or a component is missing. It feels good to find solutions that offer customers quick deliveries.

I am also a member of a quality team where production, purchasing and development regularly follow up on quality and delivery precision. These meetings allow us to take immediate action if problems occur.

I like both colleagues and working tasks. The job is varied, new products are introduced, and we get the chance to develop which is also encouraged by the managers. For example, I will soon learn to assemble our softstarters. The atmosphere is positive and there is no distance between other functions and us working “on the floor”. Emotron takes good care of employees and customers!
