Manuel Lehmann
Workshop foreman
Age 30
With Emotron since 2001

My first job at Emotron was as a service technician in Wernigerode, Germany. The task was to support customers by phone, with workshop repairs and field service. After some years, I got the chance to take a master electrician’s degree with the support of Emotron, combining my job with attending evening school. Since 2006, I am the workshop foreman.

Leading the service department means coordinating our workshop repairs and field service activities, and handling the spare part stock. I am responsible for three to six technicians and a number of external service partners. My position gives me the chance to travel around the world and to learn new things when visiting customers at their premises.

Since some years back, I also coordinate our participation in trade fairs. This is one of the most interesting parts of my job. I design the equipment used for demonstrating our products’ functionality and am also responsible for building the stand. I travel to the fairs to prepare the stand and also get to represent our company to visitors.

I appreciate the good co-operation within the Emotron group. In my position, I continuously face new challenges, but I can always rely on my colleagues’ support. At Emotron, I have built professional networks as well as friendship bonds across country borders.

I feel that Emotron puts trust in my work and lets me grow with the help from my team and my supervisor. In the future, I look forward to continuing to lead the service team and taking on new challenges together with colleagues and customers.
