Reliable operation protected against damage and downtime
A low voltage override function protects the process against interruptions due to momentary mains power supply failure. Auto reset after alarm means the motor is automatically restarted after safety stops. No manual intervention is required.
Emotron VSA has a unique built-in shaft power monitor that prevents damage and downtime. Over or underload situations are immediately detected – whether it’s a blocked fan filter, a pump running dry or a compressor idling. Overheating, momentary power loss or a locked rotor are other situations that initiate a warning or a safety stop.
Minimal energy consumption and wear
The Emotron VSA/VSC continuously adapts motor speed to the level required. This brings considerable energy and maintenance savings compared to throttle valves or dampers.
A built-in sleep function generates further savings by pausing the motor when it does not need to be run in order to keep up the required pressure. Emotron VSC offers automatic pump rinsing that increases efficiency; the pump is set to run at full speed for certain intervals or for a certain time at start-up in order to clear the impeller and pipes.
Flexible speed control
Flexible speed control means different load types are handled efficiently, e.g. using constant torque for cranes and mixers and square torque for pumps and fans. Eight programmable preset speeds mean the operator can easily select the correct speed, for example to handle materials with different viscosity in a mixing application.
By setting different speed ranges to be skipped, damage to equipment can be reduced and maintenance costs saved. For example, vibrations in fan applications can be avoided by quickly passing known resonance frequencies. Double speed ramps can be set to prevent friction in pump applications.
Cost-efficient installation saves time and money
The compact units are easily fitted into cabinets using DIN rail or screw installation. Further space is saved through side-by-side installation. The built-in control panel also offers the option of external mounting on a cabinet front or control stand.
