Protect your fans against damage and downtime
Emotron offers efficient protection of your fans, saving maintenance and downtime costs. Our shaft power monitors, also built into our other products, prevent damage and inefficiency, for example if a filter is blocked, a belt is broken or a damper is not fully opened.

This is done using a unique technique of calculating motor shaft power. Any over- and underload situation is detected immediately, across the entire speed range. Using the motor as its own sensor means no costly and service-demanding external sensors are required.

Smooth starts reduce mechanical stress
Start currents are greatly reduced with an Emotron softstarter. Torque control offers ultra-smooth starts with constant acceleration. You can use smaller fuses and cables, and will benefit from reduced energy and installation costs.

Starting a fan that is rotating the wrong way due to draft can cause blown fuses. Emotron softstarters ensure correct direction and function before full speed operation. The starting direction can be fully controlled, for example of a tunnel fan if there is a fire.

Emotron variable speed drives offer reliable fans and full control of the process. Considerable maintenance and energy savings can be made since operation is continuously adapted to demand, maintaining the right flow/pressure at all times.

Inefficiency due to a blocked filter or a damper that is not fully opened is detected immediately. No energy is wasted and unplanned stops are eliminated. Parameters can be set in your own process units, for example m3/s or bar, making monitoring easier and safer.
