EMOTRON - DEDICATED DRIVE
Cost-efficient and reliable multiple pump control
Emotron develops solutions for starting, protecting, controlling and stopping machines and processes driven by electrical motors

Cost-efficient control of up to seven pumps

Controlling several pumps, in for example a booster pump station, usually requires an external control system. Emotron lets you control up to seven pumps with no additional equipment, offering cost-efficient and reliable solutions.

Energy savings from optimized pumps
Up to seven pumps can be controlled with one Emotron FDU variable speed drive. It minimizes energy consumption by continuously adapting operation to demand, maintaining the required pressure or flow at all times. Parameters in your process units make monitoring safe and easy.

Automatic pump rinsing lets you increase efficiency by setting the pumps to run at full speed with certain intervals or a certain time at start-up to rinse out sludge. The robust IP54 enclosure allows mounting next to the pumps, also in harsh environments.

Master/slave solution for cost-efficient pumps
A cost-efficient and reliable solution is using an Emotron FDU variable speed drive as a master and Emotron MSF softstarters as slaves. When the master pump reaches its capacity limit, the variable speed drive signals to a softstarter to start the next pump. When demand decreases, the pumps are stopped smoothly without hydraulic shocks. No motor controlled valves are required.

If a problem occurs the system automatically switches over to the next pump, preventing process interruptions. On the basis of load and operating time the Emotron FDU controls which pump is started or stopped, thereby offering synchronized service cycles.
